Marcella Day, Guest Instructor


Marcella Day was born and raised in La Plata, Maryland where she developed a love for dance and theater at a young age. She started dancing at age 4 and by age 9 she was competing for local studios. When she started high school she became the assistant choreographer for the La Plata High School Drama Department and became the head choreographer the following year. While in high school she still competed for local studios, danced on her high school dance team, and danced for Woodbridge Dance Company in Woodbridge, Virginia.

For College she attended George Mason University where she received her BFA in dance in May 2015. While she was a student there she choreographed and performed in several student choreography shows and received scholarships to attend the Mark Morris Dance Group Summer Intensive in Brooklyn, NY and the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC. Since moving to Pittsburgh she has performed with Attack Theatre in their show Remainder/Northside and is currently working on new projects to perform in the Pittsburgh and NYC area for the upcoming year.
